Neonatal Ambulance From RML to BLK Hospital

A 20-day-old neonate diagnosed with TAPVC (Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection) required urgent transfer from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital, New Delhi, to BLK Max Super Speciality Hospital for specialized pediatric cardiac care.

Given the complexity of the congenital heart defect and the age of the infant, continuous NICU-level support during transport was essential.

Critical Care During Transport

  • Transport ventilator for assisted breathing
  • Pulse oximetry & multi-parameter monitoring
  • Thermal regulation to prevent hypothermia
  • IV access secured for ongoing medications
  • Pediatric critical care doctor & paramedic onboard

Every second of the journey was closely monitored to maintain hemodynamic stability and prevent desaturation episodes.

Safe Handover

The neonate was safely handed over at BLK Hospital, where pediatric cardiac specialists initiated further management and surgical planning.
